Spacecraft EDL Simulation
The Project
Inspired by NASA’s Code a Mars resources, I developed a simulation of the entry, descent, and landing (EDL) phases of a Mars mission. The different stages are represented using various LED colors, and once the spacecraft successfully lands, a buzzer and LED transmit a message in Morse code. One of the biggest challenges I faced was figuring out whether errors were due to issues in the physical connections or in the code itself. Debugging became a complex process of testing both hardware and software, requiring patience and logical problem-solving. However, through persistence, I was able to identify and fix these issues, strengthening my troubleshooting skills. This project deepened my passion for engineering and space exploration, and I hope it inspires others to explore the endless possibilities of coding and STEM
