AIDMOS-AI powered disaster management system
The Project
AIDMOS- is a Artificial intelligence powered disaster management system to deal with post disaster times efficiently and quickly. The main part is played by a drone which identifies humans in disaster affected areas ,even in dangerous places like collapsed tunnels and buildings where humans can't enter, with the help of an IR camera. if a thermal object is identified by the camera, visuals are sent to the cloud and then to an AI called yolo which we have trained to identify humans from images. When a person is identified by the AI, the live location(From the gps module on the drone), of the drone will be sent to the dashboard and thus immediate relief can be sent to that place.
Team Comments
We chose to make this project because...Most natural disasters are inevitable. So many lives are lost every year in every corner of the world through some form of natural disaster. The best we can do is to save lives atleast after the disaster has affected.
What we found difficult and how we worked it outOur project included making a decently large drone to carry all the necessary components and the budget was way across of what we could afford. Due to the lack of funding we couldnt do it physically. But thankfully, due to the flexibilty of coolest projects we used an emulator and coveyed our idea.
Next time, we would...If we had more time, we would've probably developed on the dashboard a little bit more and even have manged to get some fundings to do the project real -life.
