The Project
This interactive Library Board encourages patrons to explore new books and genres. I used a MakeyMakey and scratch to program the buttons on the poster to tell about different books people would like to recommend.

I chose to make this project because...I wanted to inspire kids and adults to try reading different kinds of books
What I found difficult and how I worked it outFirst, I had to learn how to program and record with scratch. Then, I wanted more than the 6 buttons on the front of a MakeyMakey, so I had to figure out how to use the back of the circuit board and jumpers to connect to the board. Laying out the board took several iterations.
Next time, I would...I would create a how to manual so anybody could record using scratch and change what the buttons say. It was easy after I figured it out, but I think new users would be afraid to change the books on the poster and what the buttons say without more directions.
