How To Care For An Egg

The Project

This project teaches you the basics of caring for an egg. The time a real egg takes to develop is shortened into 2 minutes for an enjoyable experience. The game teaches you how to clean, warm and position the egg to keep it healthy. You need to be meticulous, because on mistake is all it takes for the egg to succumb! Functionalities: *If dirt appears, you must wipe it off with a cloth *If the egg becomes cold, you must warm it by dragging a hen to the frost *The egg will need turning, to ensure the embryo is evenly incubated and does not develop on the membrane of the egg. *If you have cared for the egg well, it will hatch into a chick!

Team Comments

I chose to make this project because...

I want to educate enthusiasts on this fascinating topic and spread the information to as many people as possible. I am very passionate about nature and I know many others would enjoy this project as well.

What I found difficult and how I worked it out

I had difficulties programming the text to be controlled by the relevant sprite. The initial code I wrote did not compensate for errors in the repeating code. I worked this out by removing all redundant code and using messages and variables broadcasts to trigger multiple events.

Next time, I would...

I would add more interactive features to it, such as monitoring the embryo's development and responses to sound.
