ASMA Micro:bit watch and App

The Project

Developing the accompanying App, named ASMA app will support the watch we created to monitor Asthma symptoms. The application serves as a practical tool, featuring a calender to help users keep track of doctor appointments. Mini-games will be added for younger learners to create awareness around asthma. The primary aim is to simplify life for individuals managing their asthma symptoms, appointments and medication.

We chose to make this project because...

This topic is really important to us, because we both have family members that have asthma and we see how they struggle with daily activities especially sports and running. We want to help people to manage asthma more effectively.

What we found difficult and how we worked it out

We struggled to figure out how to code an App. We have not done this before and did a lot of research and decided to keep it simple and use playgrounds. It was a great opportunity to put our research into practice.

Yes, my partner and I would've put more work into the device and app. The App was challenging for us to make tangible.
