Feeling unsafe and alone? This video will show you a life-saving Emergency Alerter using a Raspberry Pi 5! This compact device can automatically send your GPS coordinates via SMS to pre-programmed contacts in case of an emergency.

I chose to make this project because...I choose to make this project because recently came over news that a 3 year old kid was kidnapped and murdered. So I planned to build a device that can save many lives and my main vision was to make it very user friendly and even a 1 year old could be able to use it.
What I found difficult and how I worked it outI found the conversion of the complex coordinates into a simple google maps link very difficult.
Next time, I would...Now all the mobiles have a feature called Alerting in which a very loud alert will be alerted even if the mobile is in Silent mode. If I had more time I would added that feature to my emergency Alerter.
