Football Tournament Simulator

The Project

I made a football simulator in python which allows you to enter in either 2,4,8, or 16 teams to which it will then simulator a tournament with them. The simulator will give red cards, and it includes extra time and penalties if necessary.

Team Comments

I chose to make this project because I enjoy playing football, and I also enjoy simulating football games. I always thought that the simulators I used were not how I wanted them to be, and as I knew how to code, I made a simulator myself.

I found it extremely difficult making penalties as the different combinations of scores and misses possible makes it very difficult to predict and cover for what can happen. Furthermore, after I finished the code, it was way too lenghty for my liking and so I spent a while shortening the code.

I would maybe make it so you could store teams in a file for later use and to store records for individual teams.
