Pillpedia

The Project

My innovative application, Pillpedia, focuses on elderly medication scheduling and side effects. This project stems from the goal to enhance the well-being of seniors digitally through the form of an app. The application is designed to address the challenge of medication schedule management for seniors, offering a solution surrounding medication scheduling and side-effect awareness.

I chose to make this project because...

My motivation sprung from personal experiences of witnessing the sheer number of medications that some seniors need, such as the medicine-filled drawers my grandfather. This project was created with understanding of the strain that forgetting their medication schedule could place on the elderly.

What I found difficult and how I worked it out

The biggest challenge faced while developing the app was the integration of the user database within the application, which included the display of the user profile and the saved medications. These issues were gradually fixed with changes in method-calling after reviewing multiple times.

Next time, I would...

If I had more time to work on the app, I would add a selection of features such as more conveniently listing out side effects of medicines, a artistic interface, or game-like functions to hook the user's attention.
