We chose to make this project because...I chose to create the Automated Plant Care System to address common gardening challenges like inconsistent watering, promote sustainable water use, and leverage modern technology. This project enhances plant health and convenience by automating irrigation based on real-time soil moisture data.
What we found difficult and how we worked it outI faced challenges in sensor calibration, power management, component integration, and environmental protection. Solutions included conducting calibration tests, using stable power sources, testing components individually before integration, and weatherproofing the electronics.
Next time, we would...With more time, I would enhance sensor accuracy, add temperature and humidity sensors, integrate Wi-Fi for remote monitoring, implement data logging, improve power management, enhance the LCD interface, and add automated fertilization. These upgrades would increase accuracy and usability.
