The Project

Shop4Icecream is a collaborative project created by CS mentors from India and the United States as part of their 10-part Scratch Class. We are trying to teach lists and we used an ice cream shop to model the concept. The objective of the program is to allow the user to choose their ice cream, pay and leave the store. YUMMY! We wanted to teach students how to use lists in scratch in a tasty way. There were a lot of sprites and keeping track of all their code was hard. We had to organize all the information about what we wanted to happen in the story. We utilized the design cycle to make the program more structure and keep the audience in mind. We would like to add chocolate covered cone options for all the flavors. We would also like to add new flavors such as coffee, butterscotch, etc, and who knows maybe even a cherry on top.
