The Project

2d platformer based on the desktop goose virus where you play as the goose with the goal of crash the computer. This is done through acumulating and managing tabs of memes that periodically spawn.

Team Comments

I choose to make the project because of my facination with meme computer viruses and computer security. I thought it would be interesting to play as the virus itself trying to crash a computer without the real reprecussions that crashing a normal computer with a virus would have.

I found coding the ai for the cursor difficult. The cursor would have many bugs such as not being responsive to new tabs that spawns, not being able to track tab movements, and bugging out when the tabs are closes. I solved these problems by analyzing each of the problems individually.

I would like to add new features in the game such as the ability for the goose to kidnap or take the cursor if it makes contact with it for a breif time. It gives more incentive for action and platforming.
