Inspection system for confined spaces with a remote-controlled robot based on Raspberry Pi
The Project
The multifunctional robot can enter dangerous areas thus helping people survey possible hazardous spaces and share live videos of the area. By watching the streamed video on a laptop, the camera can be tilted 180 degrees on both axis, giving the user the opportunity to take notice of the environment which the robot is situated in and detect the possible damages existent. The robot is controlled with the help of a joystick from the android app, which is connected through Bluetooth. The app is used to control all the functions of the robot, the movement, the sensors, and the tilt of the camera.
