Guess the Country

The Project

The project is a guess the country game. Players roll dices to get clues. The game begins with the eldest player. After getting a clue the player must make a guess as to what country it is or use a bonus token if they possess one and then make a guess. If the guess goes correctly the player who guessed it gets a bonus token to use later. If the guess is wrong the turn passes on to the next player and so on and so forth until the country is guessed. This project helps one develop their General knowledge about the world.

Recently my parents got me a 3 player game despite of me being a single child on geography about which I am passionate about. So I set about converting this slightly impractical 3 player game into one that could easily be enjoyed either alone or with more players. It was also great for enjoyment

The most difficult things for me in making the project was that people are terrible at understanding instructions and importing a good quality map into scratch as scratch is not very good at importing good images. I worked out the instructions part by trying to make them more eye catching.

I would have added a small pop up when you guess a country that lists a few important people,dates, events & fun facts about the country. I could not do this as there are too many countries to guess from and manually finding those would take too many days.
