nyamet
The Project
Nyamet is an application that connects to a helmet with a micro:bit attached. The micro:bit detects if the helmet is worn and the acceleration of the bicycle. There are three functions that make you want to wear a helmet. (1) Locking function When you put on the helmet, a button appears to unlock the bicycle. You must press the button to open the lock, so be sure to put on the helmet. (2) Exciting function The more you wear the helmet, the higher your helmet rank will be. The more you wear the helmet, the higher your helmet rank will be, You can choose the pattern of the glow of the microbit attached to the helmet! You can create your own Helmet Cat image by entering your favorite words. (3) Notification function Parents will be notified via LINE whether or not their child has put on the helmet. When you brake suddenly, you can be notified on LINE of your current location to warn you of danger. Solar panels and storage batteries are attached to the helmet, so the helmet can be used without recharging.
Team Comments
I chose to make this project because...I first learned that wearing a helmet when riding a bicycle was mandatory in Japan. When I researched why I had to wear a helmet, I found out that wearing a helmet reduces the chance of death by 1/4. In Japan, 500 people die in bicycle accidents in a year, If everyone wore helmets, about 300 people
What I found difficult and how I worked it outLinkage with micro:bit and LINE This app works with micro:bit and LINE. It was difficult to connect the micro:bit via bluetooth and to use the LINE Notify function. I found a page on the Internet with detailed instructions on how to make it, so I was able to make it.
Next time, I would...Attaching the helmet and microbit is complicated, and it is difficult to get many people to use it as it is, so we would like to make the mechanism simpler, inexpensive, and easy to attach.
