Vamoose

The Project

Vamoose is a multiplayer escape room game which currently showcases 4 uniquely themed levels, each filled with various puzzles. These puzzles can range from looking around to find passwords to arranging objects in a specific way.

Team Comments

We chose to make this project because both of us have always enjoyed puzzles and escape rooms, but felt upset when we weren't able to do escape rooms in person with our friends both due to the pandemic and our busy schedules after the pandemic was over.

Developing the multiplayer part of our project was the most difficult because none of us had any experience with it. But, after a lot of research and learning, we were able to use Unity's NetCode to implement the multiplayer. We also had to change every interactable object to make it compatible.

If we had more time, we would hope to make our project more visually appealing, as well as creating more levels. Additionally, we would want to teach some concepts (such as math) through our escape rooms, so people can learn something as they play.
