Trigonometric Waves Animated
The Project
The project enlists the help of HTML/CSS, Jinja, Python and SQL to create a Flask website that hosts the graphs of various trigonometric functions, made using the turtle and math module of Python.
Team Comments
I chose to make this project because...I'm interested in mathematics and was taught about the trigonometric graphs. I was asked to do something creative and this was my definition of it. I wanted to incorporate both my interest for Math and Computer Science into a common project.
What I found difficult and how I worked it outThe biggest difficulty was managing the various conditions in which certain functions become not defined. Other than that, I also had issues while setting up the web application as this was my first time doing so. I encountered error 404 and error 500 multiple times while getting this project done.
Next time, I would...I would like to further add to this by possibly adding inverse trigonometric functions or even graphs of other functions. Other than that, I could add to the dynamism by making compound graphs where the user may select which graphs to display and turtle generates them on the spot.
