This project utilizes the turtle module of python to create a scaled-down version of the planets revolution around the Sun i.e. our Solar System.

Team Comments

This was my first major project undertaken using the turtle module of python. I learned the basics and wanted to take my skills for a spin. The exact idea came after seeing a demo animation of the moon's revolution around the Earth. I decided to take it a step further into the entire solar system.

Making the revolution aspect was simple enough by incorporating the distance from Sun, the revolution speed and the radius of the planet. The problem came in scaling the animation to fit on-screen and I also had to alter the scale of the planets but not the Sun for visual purposes.

I would try to figure out the perfect scale for having all elements fit on screen and possibly completely scaled-down. Also, I would try to incorporate an aspect of the planet's individual rotation speeds and try to get all of them to run simultaneously.
