This web-app is an AI-based music streaming service that engages in conversations with users to discern their moods and recommends music that aligns with their preferences. Furthermore, when users are experiencing negative emotions, it recommends songs capable of shifting their mood to a positive state, promoting emotional stability through an innovative music recommendation initiative.

Personalized Music Recommendation Systems (PMRs) create filter bubbles by continuously recommending music based on past preferences. We initiated this project to address the filter bubble issue after encountering research linking it to increased rates of youth depression and suicide.

The SWING Music initiative was developed using the generative AI LLAMA2, which was created by Meta. Analyzing the open-source data proved to be a time-consuming and complex endeavor. With guidance from a mentor at our organization, we customized the programming to meet the specific needs.

We are interested in developing a system that not only facilitates direct verbal interactions between users and AI but also incorporates camera technology to read users' tones and facial expressions for deeper emotional analysis.
