Messi's Free Kick against Ronaldo

The Project

Messi shoots a free kick. I used a rack and pinion to first move Ronaldo, the goalie, to try to block the goal. Then I move the ball into the net to score on Ronaldo. After that, the crowd cheers for Messi and plays a song. Then everything resets. Messi is better than Ronaldo (in my opinion.)

I chose to make this project because...

Soccer is one of my hobbies and I wanted to make a model that represented my hobby and share it with people.

What I found difficult and how I worked it out

I wanted the ball to go into the net but this was difficult because the goalie was in the way. So I had to raise up my ball and then program the goalie to move first and reset. Then I moved the ball into the net after the goalie moved back to his starting position.

Next time, I would...

If I had more time I would add more players on the field and motorize them to move using gears.
