Anti Sleep Alarm System
The Project
The project centers on the development of a compact yet powerful anti-sleep alarm system tailored for drivers, combining state-of-the-art nanotechnology with an advanced eye blink sensor. By harnessing nanotechnology's precision, the system incorporates highly sensitive sensors capable of detecting subtle physiological changes indicative of drowsiness. Integrated with an eye blink sensor utilizing infrared or photoplethysmography (PPG) technology, it monitors the driver's eye movements in real-time. Upon detecting prolonged eye closure exceeding 2 seconds, signaling potential fatigue, the system triggers an audible alarm, prompting immediate intervention to prevent accidents. With its compact and wearable design, rigorous testing for reliability, and potential for customization, this innovative system represents a significant leap in enhancing driver safety by proactively addressing the dangers of drowsiness on the road.
Team Comments
We chose to make this project because...We chosen to make this project because : 1.Safety concerns due to drowsy Driving significant contribution to accidents 2.It will give limitations to humans in maintaining alertness during long drives. 3.It is responsible to society to prevent accidents caused by driving and it promotes road safety
What we found difficult and how we worked it outWhile we are developing this project ,we faced challenges like adjustment of eye blink sensor and spectacles. While we are doing practicals, the NANO board gets heated and has no response while sleeping etc... We overcome it by doing changes in code ,by consulting our trainer .
Next time, we would...Advancements: Machine learning enhances drowsiness detection, while multi-sensor fusion ensures comprehensive monitoring. Integration with vehicle control systems automates responses, and real-time feedback boosts driver awareness. Remote monitoring ensures safety oversight.
