The Project

In this Scratch project, I implemented a scrolling backdrop effect. As players move, the background scrolls horizontally or vertically, creating the illusion of continuous motion and enhancing immersion.

I chose this project to simulate movement in games and create dynamic environments. Implementing a scrolling backdrop allowed me to learn about visual effects and enhance the player experience.

Initially, coordinating the movement of the backdrop with player actions was challenging. I refined the code by adjusting the scrolling speed and direction until achieving the desired effect."

If given more time, I might explore adding parallax scrolling for a more immersive visual effect. Additionally, I could incorporate different backdrop designs or themes to enhance variety.
