Year 2055

The Project

It's the year 2055 and the United States of America is at war with a new country, AlvinKline. AlvinKline is starting to take over the USA and the government has had enough! They've been secretly working on a prototype bomb that could potentially destroy AlvinKline. All that is left to do is to send the bomb to a research facility in Australia for testing. However, since this is all a secret, the government has decided to have a plane deliver the bomb. The government has chosen one pilot to complete this task, and guess what! IT"S YOU! Fly the plane, avoiding all obstacles, and pass all the checkpoints. Good luck with your mission! Questions and Answers: Q: Tell us about your project. Why did you choose to make it? A: My project is about a mission given to you! The USA is entrusting you and your piloting skills to deliver a prototype bomb to a research facility in Australia, which has the potential to destroy all of AlvinKline, a new country who wants to take over the USA. I chose to make this game because I love to play games in which the player needs to complete a task or mission and where a player has to face obstacles and other challenges before they can succeed. I decided that i would be amazing if I could create a concept just like those games and make a game myself. It would be challenging to create, but in the end, I would feel proud. Q: What did you find difficult while making your project and how did you work it out? A: One thing I found difficult while coding this game was the programming the contact between the different sprite/characters. I was struggling to find a way to code the sprites so that each time the plane touched an obstacles, the screen would change to a different backdrop. I tried to make this happen when the plane would touch a certain color, but that was always faulty. In the end, I realized that there was an easier option. I saw that there was a way I could program my plane sprite so that when the plane would touch the sprite of a certain obstacle, the event would happen! Q: Is there anything you would do differently or you would add if you had more time? A: If I had more time, I would definitely add more levels because I feel that it would be more fun if the player could play more levels. But because of the deadline, I wasn't able to add all the levels. I was originally thinking of five levels, but in the end, I could only add 3 levels.
